Trex is a privately owned High-Tech company specializing in developing optical, RF/millimeter wave, and CMOS technology for a variety of government and commercial customers.  The company has operating divisions in San Diego, California, Hawaii, New Mexico and Massachusetts.  The Headquarters located in San Diego is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant with U.S. Citizenship to start immediately.

The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for the accuracy of all actual, budget and forecast gross margin results and inventory valuation/transactional data to effectively produce required management reporting.  Additional responsibilities include project-related analyses for the Company’s government contracts and internal R&D projects, including associated interfacing with program personnel  This position works with Finance, Manufacturing, Sales and R&D groups in providing analytical support for various projects, and works closely with offsite personnel ensuring that all processes are accurately reported financially.  Books monthly entries related to gross margin, inventory, as well as associated reconciliations.  Analyze fluctuations in margin, inventory, and unit costs.  This position will also communicate with Subsidiaries via conference calls on a periodic basis to ensure manufacturing issues are being addressed and make recommendations to process issues and changes.
